Testimonials

“I honestly don’t know what my son and I would have done without Linda.  Even though I am myself an educator, as a mother, I felt myself to be at a terrible disadvantage when advocating for my child.  Linda has the unique ability of being both an incredible advocate for your child and a wonderful partner to parents.  She combines those skills with an encyclopedic knowledge of child advocacy and special education law, the documentation process AND the school districts in which she works.  Her kindness and calm, non-adversarial style promotes mutual respect, collaboration and cooperate success – all of which creates the best possible atmosphere of support for your child.” – Parent, Lower Merion School District

“You represented us a few years back for our son … thru the …. School District.  I wanted to let you know that he graduated this year.  He made the National Honor Society at the vo-tech school last year.  At this current time, he is enjoying the summer and looking forward to getting a job in the electrical field.  –

Again, thank you so much for all you did.  You got things set up for him and that allowed him to feel successful in school.  Whenever a parent has a problem, we refer them to you.” – Parent, Souderton Area School District

“Linda has been a valued participant in my son’s IEP meetings and his plans for his future. She has been by my side every meeting, every year. My son would not be in the position to go to college and fulfill his dreams without Linda tirelessly advocating for him and for me. She has never doubted my son’s ability, and has always helped me realize his potential. I have referred her to friends and associates countless times, and will continue to do so. Thank you Linda!” – Parent, Unionville-Chadds Ford School District

“When our daughter was in middle school we had her evaluated and an IEP (individual educational program)  was put in place. Every few months her IEP was re-evaluated and adjusted to assist her in her education. It was tweaked each time but she never seemed to make much progress even as she entered High School.  She was still not getting the tools she needed to be independent.  By 10th grade we needed to do something else because little had changed.  The school system was letting our daughter down.  We heard about Linda Heller who was an advocate for students and parents and who attended IEP meetings to help families navigate through school system to ensure that students received tutors, additional support and classes that were students were entitled to. Most parents don’t even know their child is entitled to these programs.  As we prepared for our next IEP meeting, we told the school system that Linda Heller was coming as our advocate.  Additionally we told them that Linda was also an attorney but that she was not there as an attorney, but rather as our advocate. As a side note to the previous IEP meeting, it was poorly attended by our daughters teachers. At the next meeting the school district sent the head of the district, the school districts attorney, and all the teachers attended the meeting. It can be very difficult to advocate by yourself when the emotions of watching your child struggle in school are filling your heart and eyes. It’s even more daunting when you feel like you have to fight to get the school administration to pay attention in a meaningful way.  Linda knows the ins and the outs of the school system. She knows what students are entitled to. She helped us understand the educational and testing ‘lingo’ of the school system and the next meeting was much different. The High School staff became more accommodating than ever.  We brought in Linda and there was no side swiping this situation any longer.  Everything that Linda suggested and demanded were on the table and Amanda was able to finish High School and go on to attend and graduate from college. Today she is working at a senior living residential facility and she just received a big promotion from front line staff to a management position. We highly recommend that you consult with Linda and hire her to assist you with you dialogue with your school system.” – Parent, Radnor School District
