Sadly, all of this complexity and diversity of "Dog Eat Dog" went under the radar of most mainstream music fans, as the association Warrant with all the corny aspects of glam was simply too strong. Perma-pouting Hollywood fluffballs Pretty Boy Floyd made Motley Crue sound like Napalm Death and Ratt look like, well, Napalm Death. Kingpin were Swedens entry into the 1988 Hair Metal Olympics. Black N Blue Nasty Nasty (1986) Sure, John Norum is tough to replace, but you could do a whole lot worse than the wonderfully talented Kee Marcello. Britny Fox Bite Down Hard (1991) Wait, what? Great White was the would-be Blues-Rock band, that simply couldnt help but indulge in Hair Metal. I got TT on 1st end LP and it's sumptuous! As grunge became all the rage during the early '90s, these albums never got the attention they really deserved. They had a couple of songwriting contributions from Jim Vallance and Kiss' Paul Stanley (the former having co-written hits such as Bryan Adams' "Summer of '69" and Aerosmith's "Rag Doll"). To be honest, by rights, Warrant really had no business releasing a Hair Metal album in late 1992, but they did it anyway, and the results are perhaps their best record.
